I’m so glad that you decided to visit Eskaton Foundation (EF). Eskaton Foundation’s primary purpose is to generate philanthropic support to further the mission of Eskaton and those we serve.

In the United States, we are living longer than ever before. People who live to 65 can expect to live an average of nearly 18 more years and the life expectancy of people who live to 85 is another 7 years. Closer to home in California people age 85 and older are likely to more than double by the year 2030. And if you live in the greater Sacramento region, the number of people age 65 or older will increase by 172% by 2019 (Sacramento Business Journal, 2009).

What does all this mean? It means like never before, the number of older adults living in the Sacramento region is extraordinary. Baby boomers are retiring in record numbers and want to sustain their independence for as long as possible while at the same time the increasing number of frail elderly are in need of more services.

Whether older adults choose to live in an Eskaton retirement community or live in their own home, together we will be there to meet the increased needs.
