Giving Tuesday

Give now at our Giving Tuesday donation page.

#GivingTuesday proves that the holidays can be about both giving and giving back. It celebrates how Americans can do more with their wallets than just shop – and that we Americans can give as good as we get. #Giving Tuesday is about ordinary people coming together to do extraordinary things. Learn more at givingtuesday.org. Click to view #GivingTuesday video.

Our goal for Giving Tuesday this year is to raise funds for three life-changing Eskaton Foundation programs: Resident Care Fund, Eskaton Kids Connection, and the Healing and Therapeutic Garden.

Eskaton Kids Connection

Eskaton Kids Connection - Resident hugging two Kid Connection children Support buddies! Through Eskaton Kids Connection, local elementary school children become “buddies” with Eskaton seniors. They learn, laugh and grow together – through weekly video chats and quarterly visits. More than 1,200 children and seniors are involved this year. By the end of December, we plan to bring on seniors from five more affordable housing communities and children from five more schools. Watch Kids Connection "Buddies" video.

Resident Care FundEskaton Resident and staff from In-home Care

Help a low-income senior stay independent! Just a few hours of help with bathing, cleaning and other tasks can mean the difference between staying in one’s own affordable housing apartment and being prematurely placed into a nursing home. The Resident Care Fund will provide desperately-needed non-medical in-home care to low-income seniors. With your help, we can launch this program early next year!

Therapeutic and Healing Garden

Labyrinth Healing Garden Imagine a soothing greenscape with wheelchair accessible walking paths, benches, gathering areas for family visits, and a wheelchair accessible in-ground labyrinth path for meditative strolls. With your help, this can be a reality for those living out their life in long-term care at Eskaton Care Center Greenhaven, a skilled nursing facility where the large majority of patients have low incomes. Our plan is to break ground this spring!
