Introduction to Guided Autobiography (GAB)
GAB helps individuals organize their life stories. Guided by a trained instructor, participants are led through themes and priming questions that evoke memories of events once known but filed away and seemingly forgotten. Writing and sharing life stories with others is an ideal way to find new meaning in life and put past events into perspective. Lisa Smith-Youngs from The Senior Connection will present an overview of the GAB process, and assist participants with an in-class writing assignment. Participants must come prepared with pen and paper and be willing to read their assignment to a small group by the end of the session. This is a free class. Reservations are required.

In collaboration with Area 4 Agency on Aging
Driver safety programs address cognitive abilities and skills; however, older drivers can also improve safety by ensuring their car interiors are properly adjusted for them. At CarFit, trained technicians and health professionals assist participants to ensure they "fit" their vehicle. This is a free class. Space limited. Reservations are required.

Memory Screening Day
Concerned about your memory? Tuesday, November 16th is National Memory Screening Day. In cooperation with the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, The Senior Connection will offer free confidential memory screenings by certified geriatric care managers. The private appointments are a simple and safe evaluation tool that tests memory and other thinking skills. It can indicate whether an additional check-up by a qualified healthcare professional is needed. This is a free class. Space limited. Reservations are required.
