Some Eskaton retirement communities offer apartments for independent living with 24-hour staff presence and a month-to-month fee that includes rent, all utilities (except telephone and cable), a meal program, housekeeping, maintenance, fitness programs, scheduled transportation and a variety of recreational activities.

Floor plans vary by community but may include studio, one-bedroom, one-bedroom-plus-den and two-bedroom models. All apartments have kitchens, full bathrooms and emergency response systems. Common areas typically include restaurant-style dining rooms; private dining rooms; library; rooms for games, crafts, interest group meetings; exercise equipment; etc.

Some locations also offer owner-occupied patio homes, assisted living, and/or memory care.
