Barbara's Story . . .

"Caring for my mother from a distance is a helpless feeling." Barbara of Phoenix, Arizona, experiences this concern every day. Her 90-year-old mother, Sue, lives in Sacramento. Barbara worries about her mother's isolation and her safety. Knowing someone will call to brighten her mom's day and check on her well-being relieves much of Barbara's concern.

The Eskaton Telephone Reassurance staff and volunteers have become extended family, and Barbara rests assured that someone is watching out for Mom.
