Neal Torres
Executive Director
Neal Torres is the Executive Director at Eskaton Lodge Gold
River and loves getting people to laugh with his constant
stream of infamous “Dad Jokes,” creating a strong family
environment, and helping both his residents and team members
live life to the fullest. He has spent the majority of his
career in the senior living and care industry, gaining
experience in areas such as dementia support and awareness,
sales and marketing, and elevated customer service. Outside of
work, Neal also enjoys spending time with his family, watching
his teams play (49ers and Golden State Warriors), and trying
different types of foods and restaurants. For Neal, the most
rewarding part of the role is knowing Eskaton residents and
staff have a strong sense of self and security.
Edith Oster
Resident Care Coordinator
Edith Oster is the Resident Care Coordinator at Eskaton Lodge
Gold River and has worked in the nursing industry for 15 years,
gaining experience in both skilled nursing and assisted living
environments. A seasoned licensed vocational nurse (LVN), Edith
is passionate about supporting the health and well-being of
older adults. Edith enjoys spending time with her family,
sewing, Sudoku, walking her dog, and crafting when she is not
at work.
Sitarah McDonald
Residential Living Advisor
Sitarah McDonald is the Residential Living Advisor at Eskaton
Lodge Gold River and loves helping people to recognize the many
benefits of community living. She has served in the senior
living industry for five years, gaining experience in areas
such as dementia care and health and wellness for older adults.
In addition to supporting residents and their loved ones with
their transition into a new setting, Sitarah enjoys artistic
expression, reading fantasy novels, and spending quality time
with family when not at work. For Sitarah, seeing residents
thrive is the most rewarding part of her role, and she remains
committed to providing superb service and the Eskaton
experience for her residents.
Mark Stull
Maintenance Supervisor
Mark Stull has worked at Eskaton Lodge Gold River for 22 years.
As the community’s Maintenance Supervisor, he is passionate
about meeting the needs of the residents and keeping Eskaton
Lodge Gold River in top shape. He has spent the majority of his
career in aging services, and has owned his own business.
Outside of the office, Mark enjoys going to church, the
outdoors, woodworking, computers, and reading.
Jocelyn Perena
Business Services Manager
Jocelyn “Lyn” Navarro-Perena has been with Eskaton for 13
years. As the seasoned Business Services Manager for Eskaton
Lodge Gold River for nine years, Lyn is passionate about
helping residents with their ongoing financial needs and
assisting her co-workers with their payroll, benefits and much
more. Prior to joining Eskaton, she was involved in the
administration of various businesses. Outside of work, Lyn
enjoys baking different kinds of bread, traveling and spending
time with her family.
Karen Peets
Wellness Nurse
Karen Peets is a Wellness Nurse at Eskaton Lodge Gold River and
has worked in the assisted living industry for six years. Prior
to that, Karen was a teacher, sports coach, and stay-at-home
mom with a variety of other job experiences interspersed. In
her role at Eskaton Lodge Gold River, she is passionate about
supporting the staff and residents with whatever is needed. She
has stepped in as the interim Memory Care Coordinator and
oversees the medication recycling program, which has provided
thousands of dollars in medication assistance to those who are
unable to afford their medications. Outside of the office,
Karen enjoys quilting, gardening, canning and traveling with
her family.
