At Eskaton, we believe Age is Beautiful. For the past 50 years, our nonprofit has proudly served older adults in Sacramento and throughout northern California. We are dedicated to providing innovative housing, health care and social services to over 14,000 seniors per year. Learn more.

Building Beautiful Friendships

For over 22 years, Eskaton Telephone Reassurance volunteers have been reaching out with a friendly and caring phone call to check in on homebound and isolated seniors. Our volunteers are the heart of this program; and last year they made over 70,000 phone calls to over 700 participants. Here’s what people are saying about this special service:

Fall Prevention: Longevity and Well-Being

Although one in three people over the age 65 fall each year, falling is NOT a normal part of aging. By paying close attention to your diet and the medication you take, as well as staying active and keeping your home clear of trip hazards, you have the ability to reduce your fall risk. The first step is to understand your risk of falling and what steps you can take to avoid an injury.
