Eskaton’s Community Outreach Services specializes in providing valuable information and resources to support older adults in living well. Our comprehensive services provide emotional support, meaningful engagement, resources, and education to enhance quality of life and foster well-being. Eskaton offers the following programs and services:
Since 1996, Eskaton’s Telephone Reassurance Program has facilitated thousands of friendships between volunteers and older adults. Trained volunteers provide friendly phone calls 365 days a year at no cost to the program participant. These calls increase a sense of belonging and connectedness for both volunteer and participant.
Trained resource navigators are available to assist older adults in finding and utilizing community-based resources. Common referrals provided include (but are not limited to) the following: information on housing, transportation, home modification services, food services, chaplaincy services, legal services, and more.
Eskaton hosts a variety of support groups that are accessible, and tailored, to older adults and their care partners. These groups are facilitated and guided by the principals of non-judgment, compassion, curiosity and confidentiality.
The Education Hub is an easily-accessible resource where older adults can obtain tools and support to enhance their overall health and well-being. It is Eskaton’s belief that through education, every person, regardless of age, can be empowered to live meaningful and purpose-driven lives.
Eskaton believes in the power of generosity. We place immense value on the vast group of volunteers and student interns who invest their time and talent to make a difference in the lives of our residents and program participants. Additionally, Eskaton is committed to working with community partners to impact the lives of older adults through education and outreach.
