What type of senior living community is Eskaton Village Carmichael?

Eskaton Village Carmichael is a Life Plan Community, also known as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). Designed to support the journey of life, these communities offer residents the peace of mind of knowing they can seamlessly transition to higher levels of care should their needs ever change. With assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation and skilled nursing services all available on campus, our residents can easily obtain the additional support they need while maintaining the relationships they’ve formed and continuing with the activities they enjoy.

What is included in the monthly fee

The monthly fee includes a flexible dining program, 24-hour campus patrol, services of an advice nurse, services of the onsite administrative staff, scheduled transportation, weekly housekeeping and linen service, building and landscape maintenance, utilities (including water, heat, Wi-Fi internet, air conditioning, electricity and trash removal), use of all common areas and a variety of recreational, social and cultural opportunities. The monthly fees are based on single or double occupancy and residence size.

Will the monthly fees increase over time?

Monthly fees are a function of operating costs and may increase, just as living expenses can increase while living in your own home. All fees are assessed to maintain the high quality of Eskaton Village Carmichael through prudent management.

What qualifications must I meet for membership?

All applicants must be financially capable of purchasing the residence of their choice and maintaining payment of the monthly fee. Applicants must be in good physical and mental health and meet Eskaton Village Carmichael’s health requirements.

May I sell my membership at Eskaton Village Carmichael?

Your membership may be resold at any time by you or your estate, according to the terms in your Membership or Residency agreement.

How can I reserve a residence at Eskaton Village Carmichael?

A deposit of $2,500 will put you on our waiting list while you complete the financial review and health screening. Upon approval, $2,000 of your deposit will be applied towards the purchase of your membership. Should you change your mind, your deposit is refundable, less a $500 administration fee. Should your application be declined, you will receive a full refund.

How does the waiting list work?

Your placement on the waiting list is determined by the date your deposit check is received. You can be placed on the list for any or all of the various floor plans. You remain on the waiting list until you choose the residence right for you and that residence becomes available.

What safety measures are in place at Eskaton Village Carmichael?

Eskaton Village Carmichael is fenced and gated. The main entrance is monitored around-the-clock by on-duty personnel and staff is present 24 hours a day. Smoke detectors and water sprinklers are located throughout the buildings, including apartments and cottages.

What healthcare options are available if I require them?

In collaboration with you, your family, and your physician, the healthcare staff of Eskaton
Village Carmichael will help you determine the level of care you require. You will receive a health screening conducted by a licensed nurse before your move. A statement from your doctor will be required at that time.

After joining our community, short-term home support services may be available in your residence, and routine health maintenance services, such as blood pressure monitoring, may be provided by the healthcare staff. If you should require regular assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming and medication management, you may move to an assisted living apartment on campus. The Village Care Center provides rehabilitative therapy and 24-hour skilled nursing, and the Wellness Office and examination room are available for physician appointments. A healthcare attendant is on call 24 hours a day for emergencies.
