Healthier Living with Chronic Pain

Healthier Living with Chronic Pain is a self-management program originally developed at Stanford University.

During the program you will learn:

  • techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, isolation, and poor sleep
  • appropriate exercise for improving strength and energy
  • appropriate use of medications and better communication skills/
  • guidelines for healthy eating and managing movement with less pain

Attend this Healthier Living with Chronic Pain program provided by Dignity Health and get the support you need. Program is held once a week for 6 weeks, 2.5 hours each week. Program is facilitated by two trained peer leaders. Light refreshments will be provided. View event flyer

Diabetes Self-Management Workshop

Do you or someone you love have diabetes? The Diabetes Empowerment Education Program™ (DEEP™) is an evidence-based diabetes education program for people with diabetes or prediabetes. DEEP encourages lifestyle changes while learning about your diabetes and the way it affects you quality of life.

Workshop Details

  • DEEP sessions are interactive and involve demonstrations, sharing of ideas and other engaging activities for group learning
  • Six, 2.5 hour weekly sessions
  • No cost to participate
  • Participants will receive a workbook and fun givaways

  • Understanding the human body
  • Diabetes risk factors and complications
  • Nutrition education and meal planning
  • Medications and accessing your health team
