The Lighthouse Program

Eskaton and Front Porch have launched the pilot at one community site each, with the intention of expanding to a total of six, to serve as a model and roadmap for replication in additional communities.

Lighthouse for Older Adults is a program that delivers high-speed Wi-Fi and digital devices to low-income senior housing residents. The program was initiated by the Banatao Institute, a University of California research organization focused on applying IT solutions to achieve social and economic advantages, and the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS).
